What are your hopes and dreams for public education in BC?
What do you think BC public schools need?
What would an equitable, inclusive, and diverse public education system be like?
We don’t often have the time or opportunity to discuss, debate, or engage with each other about the future of public schools and learning. But shouldn’t we be talking about these issues?
Over the past two years, IPE/BC facilitated a community-based discussion with more than 1,000 British Columbians — students, parents, Education Assistants, teachers, school trustees, and more.
A remarkably coherent vision emerged from their responses, which we have done our best to represent through the seven key themes described in this report.
We invite you to read the report, to be inspired, to respond, to debate and participate in this vital discussion.
