We are experiencing a serious shortage of teachers and educational support staff here in BC and in other jurisdictions across the country. IPE/BC believes that a comprehensive plan, at the school board, provincial and national levels, is urgently needed and we’ve repeatedly called for action on this issue. When the staffing shortage is downplayed or ignored, our public education system is put at risk.
